Sweet success: Unravelling the Jelly Baby's dark past

The first batch of Jelly Babies ever to be produced were supposed to look like little bears but they didn't turn out right and resembled babies

They were initially marketed not as Jelly Babies but as "Unclaimed Babies" and people would leave them on the doorsteps of churches as a joke

We had a very ocd artist, his desk was spotless and precise, he loved jelly babies and always had one sitting on top of his monitor.

He went for coffee came back to no jelly baby and a ransom note on his desk "mess up the desk or the jelly baby gets it"

The poor guy was in tears when he came to me to report the kidnapping.

I sent him for a walk before confronting the rest of the staff. His beloved jelly baby was returned before he returned from his walk.

A practical joke played on the wrong sort of person, we all learned a lot that day.
