It Just Doesn't Matter

What if everything we have ever been taught was a lie.
What if The earth is flat?
What if the moon is artificial?
What if we have never been to the moon?
What if all the history we have ever been taught is wrong?
What if all of the science we have been taught is wrong?
What if everything we know about religion and its history is a lie?
What if politics is also a lie?
What if every single president of the US has been related?
What if many of the leaders of the world through out history are also related?

Before you all jump in front of the keyboard to begin to refute the things i have just said, consider this.

Does any of it matter?
What does a human being need to know in order to live their life?
And what are the resources that are needed to live this life?
Is it possible to live life from birth to death without being taught what the average person is taught through formal education?

What is really important?
Are religion, science or politics really as important as we seem to think?

I understand it is impossible to insulate ourselves from these things, so in some ways they carry some importance.

Does it have to be this way?
What really matters?

Change it to "What if the people don't elect the President but rather the Electoral College?" and you'd be closer to the truth. As for the rest of the leaders, if they are kings they almost certainly related.

Does any of it matter?

As far as life and death - none of it matters; which is usually realized at the time of death.

What does a human being need to know in order to live their life?

Nature already has that covered. Life gets lived. It's the rest of humanity that is the problem.

And what are the resources that are needed to live this life?

The Law, Honesty, Compassion, Empathy.

Is it possible to live life from birth to death without being taught what the average person is taught through formal education?

It's worked for 10 millennia for indigenous people. Third world countries live their lives without formal educations. But, again, it's the rest of humanity that is the problem, those who would rule: the war lords, the kings, the leaders of countries that wage war for profit, etc.

This is an interesting thread, as I sometimes ponder these things, too. But, is what our opinions of life, based on reality...or just our perceptions of it? Hmmm....

Occam's Razor.

Simple isn't it?

If Leprechauns are not relevant to the subject then don't add them to the mix.
I don't really need to know much about the moon landing if i live and die without electricity in the Appalachian mountains .
It is just not relevant to the subject.

So what is relevant to all of us?
What really does matter?
Is there one thing that is relevant to us all?

Is it diversity that matters?
What matters to one may not matter to another but all of it matters to someone.
So how do we decide what is important?

What is most important to me is not anywhere near important to many others.

Occam's razor.
Do what is most important to me and i will become relevant to everything else.
The answers to the questions above are just not important to everyone.
To some finding the answers to these questions define their whole life.

Why is it all so important and also so unimportant at the same time?

What is really important? Are religion, science or politics really as important as we seem to think?
All these are important for survival of one's way of life. Politics is important because it brings you the things that you need at the cost that you cn (even if barely) can afford and does not allow others to take them away. For politics, study of science, geography, history, etc. is essential.

This is true for some.
Not true for all.
This is actually the heart of the thread.

What matters is unique to each individual and often subjective in nature.

Take a deep breath...... and release it.
What matters right this moment?

If the breath relaxed you then your answer was likely, nothing matters right this moment, all is well.
That probably changed a moment later.

All of this matters because your experience matters. How you view things, think about things, and experience things matter to you, right? In that basic sense, everything matters! :)

The experience of each individual matters to each individual because everyone experiences life a little differently than the next person.
The circumstance may be the same but the experience is different.
