Is visiting Vietnam and Cambodia anything like South Korea and Japan?

I want to go to South Korea and Japan ideally this year but I think it will have to be in spring next year as I won't be able to make the money in time. I'm a bit concerned that Kim will nuke South Korea and Japan though. So my alternative to South Korea and Japan would have to be Cambodia and Vietnam.

Are Saigon and Hanoi comparable to Seoul and Tokyo?

Are Angor Watt and Siem Riep comparable to Kyoto and Nara?

If it helps i've already been to Shanghai, Xi'an and Beijing so I have seen a lot of Buddhist temples already and I like big metropolitan cities. Or is it Cosmopolitan? Either way, while I liked Beijing, I wasn't a big fan of Shanghai as it was dirty and smelly (in my opinion Shanghai's worse than Mumbai in that regard)

No, completely different. They are much less developed, although both cater to western tourism.

Well worth a visit though, and much cheaper.
