Tecumseh was the leader over several Native American tribes who were trying to stop the Europeans. I heard he was a moral person who didn't believe in torturing prisoners and was against Indians trading land for whiskey. And either him or his brother placed a curse on America where he threw 20 stone into a fire and said, "every generation the Americans will lose their leader." And since that time every 20 year ( every president elected in a year ending with zero) died in office. And it didn't end until Ronald Regan survived an assassination attempt. Also there was only one president that died office that wasn't elected on one of these "cursed" years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curse_of_Tippecanoe
