Gordon the friendly heretic
I am keen to start reading some John Shelby Spong, and the common recommendation is to start with "Why Christianity must change or die".
It is a rather dramatic title I suppose, but the threat of Christianity dying does not really worry me as much as the idea that Christianity could survive in the direction it is currently pursuing.
So, I was thinking of starting with this book unless someone has a better suggestion, and hoping to find people happy to talk about it (who are not afraid of exploring the concept of Christianity based on reason rather than "faith").
I hope I am in right place - I guess I will find out soon!
