I don't follow tennis that closely, so I had not heard of her. Still, it's interesting how they were able to censor the story that quickly.

Censorship is almost always a desperate, defeatist act.

I'd guess China was all too happy to point out the evils of the west. They forgot or don't know it can work both ways. One of my favorite Asimov quotes from his future history books states that principle:

"An atom-blaster is a good weapon, but it can point both ways.”
