How does sin create a virus?

Guitar's Cry

Disciple of Pan
Doesn't this come down to the good ol' problem of evil? God--omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent--creating or allowing suffering to occur even in the innocent is a contradiction that can only be explained by "mysterious ways."

Meanwhile human science has done a pretty good job understanding the mechanics of viruses and provide techniques to mitigate their effects.

The thing to take on faith is that nothing God permits will fail in bringing about a greater good. Even if it is a greater good we won't see until all is revealed at the final judgement.

If this god demands that of you, then that god is an incredibly evil prick.

"here shoot the 10 children. you just are going to have to have faith that it is for the greater good..."

If it is for the greater good, then the moral thing to do is to explain it how it is for the greater good, instead of demanding people to go against their ethical intuition and moral compass.

On the part of the follower: to just obey the commandment and "just have faith" that it will be all fine, is in itself also an incredibly vile and evil act.
