Our coven has invite only rituals that we do allow others to come in and participate. We don't allow people to sit out and watch though, there are a couple of reasons:
1. the magic of ritual stays in the circle, you can't experience they same energies outside of the circle. To the outside observer, its just a bunch of people waving their arms and saying stuff.
2. If someone just wants to watch, then they don't believe, and it will interfere with the energies involved.
3. This isn't a show, its how we express our faith. If people wanted a show I would suggest watching a movie.
