Honey bees are disappearing

Some of you may have already heard something about this, and some may not have heard one thing about it. Honeybee populations are decreasing. While the exact cause of their number decline hasn't been pinned down, some measures must be taken in order to preserve them. It's not just honey and wax that they provide, but they pollinate so much of our food that the loss of them would cause a loss of food sources as well. I have provided a few links for anyone interested in what is going on and for more information on them. Haagen-Dazs is actually heading up a movement to save the honeybee as a lot of their ingredients come from honeybee pollinated foods.

All bee species are decreasing, and its happening all over the world. My friend is doing her phD on dwindling Bumblebee populations in Scotland.

Without bees, we're pretty screwed.
