Not that it matters much to those of us in the Sun Belt, but during a slow, boring moment this morning, I caught the live stream of the prognostication. They really go all out for their Groundhog Day festivities. They even made a political joke, suggesting that people might consider writing in Punxsutawney Phil in 2024.
The groundhog didn't really look all that enthused. I guess it is pretty silly, all in all. But a little lighthearted silliness isn't too bad on occasion.
