Hope I am not breaking the rules by posting to this forum, but I watched an interview Tucker Carlson had tonight with Lucien Greaves.
While I strongly disagree with Lucien Greaves of The Satanic Temple of Salem, Massachusetts on his "political activism" that leans more towards a leftist group rather than a Satanic church, he really did an outstanding appearance tonight on the Tucker Carlson show (FOX).
Normally, Tucker has the upperhand in his venue to try and embarrass or attempts to make Alt-Left types look rather odd and lame characters who are narrow minded demagogues who are really anti-free speech and/or both anti-free speech as well as violent and closed minded to the point of being totalitarian in their crazed demands and often more isolationalist in their nature than inclusive, with so-called diversity as a value largely a farce.
As a Libertarian (I lean Nationalist, personally), Tucker also more often than not gets the upperhand in the "act".
But not tonight. And viewing from the internet reactions from those normally his fans, a lot agree that Tucker got beaten tonight by Greaves. Even Tucker himself pretty much knew it, you could read it in his face, and even though Tucker didn't want to admit it and admit a defeat, those who read into Tucker sort of could pick up even he agreed with Greaves once it sunk in what Greaves was actually saying.
Not that Greaves was as smooth with the shtick of tongue as Tucker who earns his livelihood doing this sort of thing, Mr. Greaves (viz Douglas Mesner) simply ran circles around Tucker.
Basically, The Satanic Temple put a very beautiful albeit benign "monument" (really a block of what looks like dark marble with pentacle on it) in honor of our vets.
It was quite a nice sentiment, and many vets some of whom are Satanists - but even non-Satanist vets - liked it and were flattered that Satanists, at least this group, gave them such a respectful testimony to their service to the United States.
Again, even Satanist vets do not necessarily agree with Douglas Mesner's positions, but they did like the "monument" anyway which was very patriotic.
It turns out, Douglas Mesner gave a pretty good "argument" in support of the monument dedicated to our vets, he is also in fact a secularist, and Tucker went into this with a lot of prenotions that he clearly started to realize he was off mark and kept trying to get Mesner to define his version of Satanism as some modern "thing" and alluding Mesner was simply trying to mock or put fear in Christians, but inside Tucker's head it was pretty obvious Tucker himself started to realize to himself that the "devils" or deities noted in the Bible are very old, certainly pre-dating the Roman Empire, and his prenotions weren't really getting even on first base. In the end, Tucker sort of "gave up" and let Mesner who was very polite and an erudite spokesperson have his say.
In the end pretty much both went away with a polite better understanding rather than the normal conclusion of a Tucker-guest dialog where Tucker ends by brushing off and laughing at the guest. I think Tucker has a greater respect at least for some of the positions of this particular branch of Satanism (probably to Tucker's own "shock" of actually agreeing with a lot of what this guest was actually saying, sort of apparent but he isn't going to openly say so per say).
Very interesting guest tonight, and again it looks like many right wingers were impressed by this guest from internet reactions even though Mesner is clearly a leftist and not a Nationalist or a right winger.
