Government prefers not to raze Gush Katif homes
After a meeting between Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and other senior governmental officials on Tuesday, the government indicated a decision to go ahead with the plan to leave settlers' homes in Gaza intact after the evacuation.
Participants in the meeting included Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Vice Premier Shimon Peres.
The prime minister said that he was opposed to demolishing the houses left behind, Israel Radio reported.
