Do you get excited for Holy Days that are well-nigh ahead of time?
I am sorely awaiting of the Festival of Ridvan (pronounced RIZ-vaun), which occurs for twelve days beginning from April 21. The first, nineth and twelveth day of Ridvan are considered the holiest.
Ridvan is a Baha'i Festival, of which Baha'u'llah has called the King of Festivals. It is the Holiest and most reverential time of the year for Baha'is, when Baha'u'llah intimated to His followers in the garden of Ridvan of His Message and His Mission from God.
During this time, Baha'is reflect on the station of Baha'u'llah in a period of prayer, solitude, and meditation. It is a time of happiness, of joy, contentment and gratitude in a humble and contrite spirit.
So... how about y'all? Get excited for upcoming Easter, Christmas, Dipavali, Vesak, etc.
