A how to video on picking and using acorns!

Would you eat acorns? Could this be a sustainable food source?

I think I might try to pick some acorns next year. It's probably too late in the season to get any this year.

I was always told they are poisonous so i never teied them. Looking it up, yes they are poisonous with tannin which can block the bodies ability to absorb nutrients. As @Guitar's Cry said, thet need boiling often to remove the tannins
 
Quite how sustainable it is supposed to be I would like to hear. The fuel needed to turn them into food is a little off-putting, for starters. Not much pannage goes on nowadays either.
