So this date was hit the 29.july for 2021.
For those that don't know what it is:
Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity’s demand for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that year.
It basically tells at which date we start hammering into Earth resources and spend more than it can handle. So looking at the chart below, the green bar shows at which date the Earth overshoot was and the red is obviously when we spend to much, so basically we could use another Earth if we are to keep up with how much stuff we use. Better hope that we can kickstart Mars and that it pays off
Also one can see the impact of the covid in 2020, so even with all the planes and restrictions etc. Our use of resources, pollution etc. are through the roof.
