Does Nibbana Exist?

Scarlett Wampus

psychonaut
Nibbana in Buddhism is a term for perfect clarity of mind, free from clinging to transient things. Its what's often meant by enlightenment in relation to Buddhism. More information can be found on Wikipedia.

Does Nibbana exist? What evidence is there for it?

If yes, what can be known about it? Are religions that do not put great emphasis on it missing the point? Or are they directed towards some other, arguably spiritual goal?

If no, why do you think that? What's behind the notion of Nibbana?
