Does both the body and spirit sleep at death?

I don't believe so. I believe our totality, mind-body-spirit-soul, are reincorporated into the world and universe. What comes next is a mystery for me. Maybe joining the gods? Maybe reincarnation? Not sure exactly.

I don't believe a spirit exists though i suppose you can call consciousness the spirit. When the body dies consciousness dies with it. No sleep involved.

Does both the body and spirit sleep at death?

This is why: Matthew 27:52-53 and Luke 8:52-55.:)

When you go to sleep, were does your conscious self go?
I suspect it just disappears, ceases to exist.

The conscious self, IMO gets reformed anew when you wake up from sleep.
If your body no longer wakes up your conscious self never gets reformed.
It simply ceases to exists like it does when you become unconscious. Like going to sleep and never waking up.
Or more like going under anesthesia and never coming out of it.
That's it, game over.

I haven't gone through the whole bible but the path i follow says that the spirit is different from the soul.
The soul is the psyche/mind which sometimes drifts into dreamless sleep, but the spirit remains awake as a witness.
