I think hypnosis is cool because in movies with vampires they have this power.
If I could use paranormal hypnosis I wouldn't go around telling people. I'd keep it to myself, so that nobody would bother me about it.

There are different types of hypnotism.
Hypnotherapy: This is done by a licensed professional in therapeutic context. I have experienced this, and it did me a lot of good.
Stage hypnotism: This is done purely for entertainment, and imo can be harmful.
What people think is hypnosis: Typically overblown, and mostly inaccurate.
