Some of you may be familiar with the concept of horocrux in Harry Potter, others may not. Whether or not that is the case:

Do you know of any other myth or story about magic being used to divide one's soul? Could you share about it?

Not that I know of when it comes to a type of magic but in quite a few old traditions the soul is divided into parts already.

Not about dividing the soul specifically, but the Horcruxes of Harry Potter may well have been inspired by the story of Koschei the Deathless. It's an old Russian fairy tale in which the antagonist is immortal due to his soul being stored outside of his body.
