Did Sinners Save the US From Hurricanes In '06?

The 06 hurricane season is over, and while there have been five hurricanes during the season, not one hit the US. In the year before, when several hurricanes hit the US, some folks said that the hurricanes were God's punnishement of sinners. So, this year, when hurricanes failed to hit the US, is that God's reward of sinners? Are we to thank sinners for protection from hurricanes in 06, just like some blamed sinners for hurricanes in 05? What do you think?

Yes those hurricane winds whipped those sinners into shape.

What's white and red and runs through the forest of doubt? A freshly whipped sinner.

I haven't heard any reports that a large number of people gave up their sinful ways because of the hurricanes of 05. So, has God changed his opinion of sinners and now doesn't send hurricanes after them? Maybe he likes sinners nowadays?

I want to know why the people who claim weather as punishment aren't pushing for teaching "Intelligent Destruction" in our schools. Those secular meteorologists have been trying to leave God out of the weather for years.

well since so many states this year voted to prohibit same-sex marriage those "folks" might say it's because the American people are getting more in line w/ what G-d wants...supposedly

There's one particular "church" in my area that espoused that God's dissatisfaction with Earth was going to result in widespread damage from Y2K, and then since that didn't happen, they predicted that last year was a sign that god was going to walk away from eons of protecting us and let Nature take it's natural course with the Earth.

Now that this too is false, I guess the next step is to hold a Giving Extra Tithe Campaign. Since that's really all it boils down to anyway at most places.
