Dianic Luciferianism?

Is Dianic Luciferianism a thing? The Roman Diana is called Diana Lucifera in her Moon Goddess form. She's my Matron now and I do have interest in Luciferianism but I don't always like the connection to Christianity, I'm not a fan of Gnosticism either. But I recognise the Morning Star is not the same as Satan or evil and is really just an archetype for many different beings.

I don't see why not. Artemis/Hecate are very Luciferian, imo. (Especially the symbolism of Hecate carrying her torch at the Crossroads being like the Morning Star at the Horizon.)

Phosphorus (morning star) - Wikipedia

It seems to me that Lucifer proper has more ties to Greek mythology than Christianity.

Remember, the earliest Christians were Greeks. That is probably where they got the language to refer to Yeshua (Jesus) as the "Morning Star" and "Light Bearer". Although symbolic it's a artifact of their time and place. Symbolism that carried on into Christian organizations such as the Order of the Eastern Star even today.

Only later of course as you hinted at did people begin to associate the two. I think this was probably some level of demoting previous gods to devils and another complication much later was literature making it explicit (Paradise Lost being the most famous example). In a way it feels like fanfic became canon lol. You can still see the remnants of the pre-Lucifer Satan in Catholicism where Lucifer isn't defined as Satan but as a positive term, so this strict-identification seems to be more of a thing in other branches like Protestantism.

Funny enough it might be most accurate to call Jesus Lucifer, and only call Satan Lucifer in the Christian theology in the sense that Satan might pose as Yeshua. But it wouldn't make sense (historically) to say that his name originally was Lucifer. I dunno though, even that is complicating it I think.

And as you said, you don't want the Christian symbolism. So I'd just go exploring the original Greek stuff, since that is where it all comes from originally anyway. And fits perfectly with what you are already doing.

If she said sees Lucifer and Satan as different, and doesn't want to get into the Christianity aspect of it, then why bring it up? o_O

It's important to recognize what parts are from the Greeks and what parts are from Christianity. Also, it's totally relevant since I mentioned it in the context of what was changed and what remained the same. If they don't know anything about it how can they be expected to avoid it in their practice?

Also I did link to something purely relevant that's from the Greeks without any mention of Christianity lol.

Is Dianic Luciferianism a thing?

Dianic Luciferianism isn’t an existing thing and if it was, not akin to what you seem to have in mind.

If you’re an eclectic, then what you create for yourself and call it is largely up to you. Though calling it Dianic Luciferian as it appears you intend would probably be debated by Dianics (Recons and witches), anyone with advanced Latin skills, and possibly Luciferians.

The ancient Roman use of the word “lucifera” has no connection with Luciferianism or any correlation between any entity/archetype called “Lucifer”.

In both Hellenic and Roman pantheons, the gods have various epithets which are adjectives, not names. “Lucifera” is one of Diana’s epithets - an adjective, means “light bringing” which is different than in use as the name “morning star” - as in connection with dawn and the planet Venus. I.e., as an adjective lucifera (luciferum) can be applied to a deity associated with some kind of light-bearing or light-bringing (celestial or fire). An adjective for Apollon or Hephaistos (Vulcan) could be "lucifer(um)", ditto Hestia, Hecate, even Dionysos.

Diana Lucifera would correlate with the Hellenic Selene. The Hellenic personification of morning star (Venus) is Phosphoros, the Hellenic goddess associated with him is Eos which would make the Roman equivalent Aurora.

Early Greeks often used the word "Kyrios" (Lord) for Jesus, which is recurring in the NT.

"Lucifer/um" is Roman and a later development.

She's my Matron now.

"Matron" is not the feminine form of "patron." This is a common mistake mostly by Neopagans.

Both gods and goddesses are patrons and typically are the patrons of places, occupations, and situations. E.g., Poseidon is the patron of Corinth, Artemis is the patron of Ephesus. Both Hephaistos and Athena are the patron gods of crafts, thus are the patron deities of craftsmen.
The definition of "matron" is here:

I would think gnostic would imply truth, which in a nut shell, is the path of illumination. I don't know much about Dianic Lucerferianism, but the crux would be about truth and guidance, not much diffrence between a truthful Christian and a truthful Luciferian. Logic and Sophia come in also as guides for better guidance. Honesty is essential if the paths of illumination are on your plate.

I understand that Venus is viewed as the morning star in many circles - I see her as the sun and this worlds morning star - The sun, a Chariot, a Cherubim, Charity/Love - A Sophia and light bearer who lights our paths - I've never claimed to be a Luciferian, but still I know I am in heart . as a Christian - The way I see the consuming fire -

@Balthazzar Ok now I can write here.
I also asked on your homepage. Maybe I'll leave it there too

On your home page I asked "you relate allowing Light in us teach us, feeds us fire in our spirit heart that's spiritual food"

I join the dir of Left-Hand Path Religions DIR so I can ask you, however before understanding how to respond: I wrote same question on your homepage

I'll add more here, I seen light in people radiate outward a few times. Then due to that, is I assume light lives in us all., and when I can't see light in people, it's due to people block light.
I too block light often and sometimes I block light where I hunger light

so eventually I'll let light teach me in the midst of my situation and then I'm able to drink from fire consuming light who lives in me and I'm fed in spirit heart

I learn word chakra so I could say spirit heart chakra I'm fed, I also notice light feeds me as I allow light teach me in situations

I'm going to ask here about chakras please

it seems this is where I feed from light is in spirit heart chakra

even if I sense other chakras, I don't associate as feeding spiritual food

can you relate; please can we go more detail on this area, 'till I'm better at articulating this

I appreciate this. Am I still on topic. from all of this running around so I can write here, now I forgotten what the topic is, accept for feeding from light consuming fire

I'm not sure what you're asking, or saying but I'll try to better articulate my view. The sun, which I call the morning star, is our source of power. Many cultures have honored the sun as God. Ra - Star Fire - Sun . A play on words (Rastafari) Is Ra El (Israel) Az Ra El (Azrael) El I Jah (Elijah) chariot of fire or whirlwind reference). El being a term used for deity. Ra - the Egyptian Sun God. The Flaming Sword of Genesis set up in the east of the garden - Shakespeare's "Juliet"? In any case, the sun would seem to be an illuminating fire (plasma). Is God a consuming fire or is our God a consuming fire or is God more than a consuming fire? I think God is more than, but I can relate to the illumination and refinement type qualities of being afforded an opportunity to live under her glory. It's the development I honor and opportunity, as well as the way she keeps life moving forward on this rock we call earth. I think we exist as part of her body - maybe like an egg or seed in development. It's fertile ground. The earth I mean.
