Dealing with pornography

not at all

but its very sad that a man would prefer to engage in that activity rather then share intimacy with his wife.
Not everyone is married or even has a SO. As of 2010 only about 50% of adults were married. Then there are men and women whose spouse has no interest in sex. So easily over half the adult population has no opportunity for sexual expression with a married partner. What of them? Grin and bear it?

To my mind, the benefit of porn if you're married is to sublimate your fantasies of having sex with others, and play them out harmlessly into masturbation instead of harmfully into adultery. It helps promote fidelity, I think.

Likewise, if you're single, the same phenomenon cuts down on random hookups and meaningless sex.

But of course, I don't consider masturbation itself a sin.
So says someone whose avatar is a big hand.

I'm going to ask the moderator to please remove this forum, or that someone would kindly instruction me how to do so. As it were, we've lost all sensibility with regard to the topic. I appreciate everyone who replied and hope to continue our conversation elsewhere. If anything has been learned, it has not been in what manner this temptation ought to be handled, but that questions about such things ought be much more pointed and thought out.

Thank you, once again.

Where ever you get your advice from, remember this....God never intended for us to misuse our procreative powers. Thru the bible he advises us: “Each one of you should know how to get possession of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,” (1*Thessalonians 4:4)

Ultimately, you need to keep your desires under control. Self control is the key. Self control is a fruit of Gods holy spirit. Learn to cultivate that spirit and you will be able to overcome the desires of the flesh. You can do it with Gods help and spirit.
