CommentsByGuests UK Jalsa– Report

DawudTalut

Peace be upon you.
Peace be on you. UK Jalsa (annual spiritual gathering) of Ahmadiyya Muslims ended on September 1, 2013 with more than 31000 physically present participants from 89 countries and numerous joined through ‘Muslim Television Ahmadiyya International (MTAi)’, over 100,000 people watched through internet. It was Grace of Allah that systems worked well and participants absorbed blessings of Jalsa through Khilafat.

Remarks by some of the guests are being given here:

CHIEF JUSTICE OF SUPREME COURT OF BENIN
He thanked the youth and children who served the guests with smile 24 hours. He observed high standard of discipline and speeches in Jalsa. He absorbed sincerity and spirituality from Jalsa. Upon return to his country, in a press conference which was covered by national press, he said:
Ahmadiyya community had erected a town on its land where every necessity was provided. Adults and children served the guests and promptly provided whatever was needed. He said he saw no one speak during the addresses of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih and felt it was a wondrous experience which he would never forget. When the Jalsa concluded there was no jostling, if anyone stepped on another’s foot they would apologise; people apologised for minor things. He said if his country could progress it would be because of the service of the Ahmadiyya Community. He appealed to the people of Benin to stop opposing the Jama’at and urged them to learn Islam from the Jama’at. He said the Ahmadiyya Khalifa had only one wish and that was to have peace in the world. He said he saw Ahmadis love their Khalifa and their Khalifa love them, he said he saw Ahmadis shed tears overwhelmed by their love of their Khalifa.

A LADY FROM BURKINO FASO WHO IS THE PRESEDENT OF THE HIGHER AUTHORITY COMMISION FOR PRINT AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA
She said that she had held other high offices in the past. She said she had represented her country in UNO too but here in the international Jalsa she found no discrimination of colour and race. She noted, every one loved their Khalifah. Everyone participated for the sake of God. Everyone was guest and host simultaneously. She expected usual lesser treatment with women but here in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jalsa ladies-section, she found ladies in were doing all arrangements including food service, photography and camera work etc. She concluded that Islamic Covering (Purdah) does not reduce women’s independence and the world should see it happening, by coming here. She was surprised to see the small sized office of Head of the Jama'at (Ahmadiyya Muslim Khalifah of Promised Messiah) which is like the center of the world. She had never seen thousands of people sitting with great silence and attention during the addresses of heads of states but she saw it happened during the addresses of Holy Khalifah as if people were made of clay…..To her, it was unique experience of honour and reverence.

SEIRRA LEONE’S MINISTER OF INTERIOR AND IMMIGRATION
He has served as various ministers. He said he has traveled worldwide but he never saw any conference like this Jalsa. It was full of love, affection and peace.

A LADY GUEST FROM SIERRA LEONE
She found Jalsa was well organized; its transport, security etc. Various cultures met there. There was brotherhood according to the principle of Islam and Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). Speeches were remarkable. She never took off translation headphone. Jalsa was for remembrance of God. Guests were treated with extreme respect. Jalsa-servers served with smile which reflected the Ahmadiyya motto ‘Love For All Hatred For None’.

A JUDGE – SUPREME COURT, IVORY COAST
… He is a religious person who read the Qur’an every day and made arrangements for Fajr Salat at his hotel during Jalsa days. The poem of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) recited in the inaugural session of Jalsa moved him to tears and touched his heart. At the end of Jalsa this guest said he felt he was cut off from the outside world for three days and experienced spiritual delight instead. Now that Jalsa had finished he felt he had returned to the world and was contacting his family and friends by telephone.

A GUEST FROM TURKMENISTAN
He said that he is fortunate to be able to attend the Jalsa. It is Allah’s blessing. It is impossible to express the feelings. Jalsa has refreshed his knowledge about Islam; remembrance of Allah and Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) is increased; love for brothers and sisters is enhanced as taught by Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). Base of Ahmadiyya Islam is solidified. Forbearance has increased in him.

A YOUNG MAN FROM CHILE
He said Jalsa had been a source of spiritual joy for him. His father was a Muslim but the young man had forgotten all teachings which he learned in childhood. He was introduced to Jama'at through a pamphlet, given by Ahmadiyya Muslim. missionary. He took Bai'at. Jalsa has increased his faith. He is real Muslim. He said, he would return with enthusiasm to convey the message to his country people.

A JAPANESE LADY PROFESSOR GUEST
She knows Japanese, Arabic and English. She knew Arab Ahmadiyya Muslims. She was impressed with Jalas environment. She praised the selfless service which was beyond religious and racial affiliations, by Ahmadiyya Muslims in connection with Japanese tsunami. She said Ahmadiyya Muslims do what they say.
