Nothing which have "in Pakistan" surprises me. The place is a hell-hole. Things like this and far worse than this is part of an everyday routine here.

If the world has to reach a better era, evils that are common in Pakistan should be forever ended.

I hope she can flee from this. To the UK or wherever else.

May she be safe from those who wish to force her to marry. She is only a child.

I hope so too, but I don't think that's going to happen. Not only has Coronavirus pandemic has made it extremely difficult to get Visa for UK and other [more peaceful and enlightened places], but being a Pakistani is a stamp for a lifetime of prejudice.

Me and my family are trying to flee from this hell-hole since ages, but so far, so bad. Only both of my sisters are able to flee to better places [one sister settled in Australia, other in Germany]. Maybe it's because of their gender they were allowed.

I am doing everything in my power to get out of this swamp, but nothing worked so far. And it's painful as it can get. I want the rest of my family to live the remaining of our lives peacefully, not possible in Pakistan, and getting out of here seems just as impossible.

And I hope that happens soon. Very, VERY soon.

It's not easy watching your loved ones suffer right in front of you.

It makes little sense to me that the systems of such authoritarian countries seem to prefer to kill or imprison the undesirables over letting them go even though they themselves want to go. Is it the fear that such refugees/emigrants might speak against them and stain their reputation?

Go to Dubai and ask Indian Embassy for asylum (if you so desire), of course when the corona thing subsides. Go to Afghanistan, Iran, anywhere. Come to India on a pilgrimage. I do not exactly know your situation, so excuse me if I am wrong.
:) Do they have any? No, it is not the fear of stained reputation. It is just that a mouse is in the trap, why should they let it go and not pickle it? Simple philosophy.

I did flee to Dubai few years ago, but then the Coronavirus pandemic happened and they decided to send me back. Tremendous blow to me! I was planning to move to Australia, Canada from there, even completed most of the prerequisite needed [IELTS etc.], and out of nowhere Coronavirus pandemic happened and destroyed my dreams of fleeing to a better place forever [along with my dreams of completing my graduation, which I was very close to doing so].

While Pakistan and pakistani people has always been world class a''holes, all the Indian people I had met so far and had the honor to be friends with were quite the opposite. They were some of the most genuine people one can come across. Hell, if India gives me Indian citizenship and Indian green card, I'll flee to India in speed that'll make The Flash blush. India and Indian people are so genuine, and light years ahead of Punkistan in terms of education, ethics, and overall all things positive. If I didn't face any prejudice in India for being born in this hell-hole, I'd LOVE to become an Indian RIGHT NOW!

Besides, while Pakistan is a failed state, India is a new emerging super power. Indian passport is immeasurably more respected than Punkistan's.

Indeed, sir. I don't think any sensible individual in the whole world would respect Pakistan nor do they have any positive reputation in the world. And Pakistan and pakistani don't even care. Pakistan is too arrogant and thinks very highly of itself due to them being people of the Prophet and perceptual followers of Islam [and as such, superior to infidels], and pakistani people are so naive, ignorant, stubborn and have a massive tough guy issue that they think that their "army" [which got itself humiliated over and over again by India and others] is invincible and they can overcome anything due to their army and god in their corner or some other delusions. As such, they are unconcerned about their reputation in the world to whom they think they are superior to.

Ignorance and arrogance is rampant in Pakistan and Pakistani people.

Pakistan is such a sad story. I was so distraught when Benazir Bhutto was assassinated. We were learning about her in social studies right when that happened, too. She was a chance for the country to step into the future, which they obviously rejected.

I wish you all the best in the fulfillment of your dreams.

A wise man once said --- "Never pet a burning dog." Benazir tried to take care of them, and how did they repaid her? By murdering her. Do good to evil and they will make sure no good deed you do goes unpunished. They have tried to harm me when I had good-intentions too, so I no longer care. Saving them from their own self-destruction is like pulling fresh meat out of crocodiles mouth. They are a lost cause, and for your own well-being, should be ignored. They have chosen hell for themselves.

The only good things to come out of Pakistan [to some extent] are their music and women. I can assure you, Pakistani women are sexy as sin. Now, imagine them without Burkha [or, as a sign of rebellion, ripped Burkha].

I guess most Pakistani are too threatened by their women, that is why they are against women education, sexual liberation, women's right. They treat women as an object they own. Oppression against women [and minority etc.] is rife in Pakistan, because I guess at the back of their mind they know that if they break out of their choke-hold, they'll surpass them in all aspects. I guess that's why Benazir was assassinated.

There is no green card system in India. India freely offers citizenship to oppressed people in its neighborhood (for example Christians from Pakistan). The only exception is extremist infested Rohingyas from Myanmar, although we have some 40,000 of them.

Well, I suppose that all that genocide and oppression would make some of them into extremists.

Or perhaps they started it wanting an independent Arakan state. Could not live in peace with the Buddhists. The same disease that plagues some of the Indian Muslims. "We were the Lords once, we will again be the Lords". This kind of views propagated by the clerics create problems. It resulted in partition of India. Don't look at just one side of the picture.
