After Navaratri, Karva Chauth, Dhan Teras, Diwali, Annakoot/Govardhan, Bhaiyya Dooj; it is Chhath, again; the most important of the Central India festivals. This includes a 36-hour fast without food or water for welfare of the family and worship of the Sun God, and Chhathi Maiyya (The Mother of the Sixth - literal translation, no exact equivalent. She is considered Lord Brahma's daughter and Sun's sister. She is also condered the wife of Kartikeya, Lord Shiva's son). ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
