Atheist Meditation?

I've been wondering whether or not atheists meditate, or would meditation be regarded as a religious practice? Some traditions that do not believe in a god use meditation as a primary practice. If not meditation, do some atheists pursue any practices that might connect with the subconscious? Just curious . . .

Depends on the atheist and what form of meditation. But yeah, many do meditate as a form of mental exercise.

Atheists are not anti-religious, nor is meditation theistic in nature.

I meditate, usually in a Buddhist fashion. It's simple psychology, and good for the neurons.

Well, some atheists are. But most are not, and as has been noted, meditation isn't necessarily religious,

I meditate. But I don't consider myself a total atheist. Just a secular humanist with some Buddhist leanings.
