Are they sigils?

I was looking for images of Prometheus today and I found a very strange one of a statue of Amirani, a Georgian Prometheus:

What calls my attention besides of the beauty of the statue, is the strange symbols behind it! Do you think they're sigils? And the ball of fire... it looks more like Amirani was the one who brought soccer to Georgia!

I doubt it... But, it's possible. They do not look like any classical sigil/talisman I've seen. And, I've seen most of them... If anything, they look like someone trying to make them look mystical -- without having any idea what any of that crap means.

They might represent the fire and light he brought to humanity.
