Dogs are quite emotional creatures indeed. I remember giving my mum a hug once and the dog barked because he wasn't being fussed over.

My dog always goes nuts when I get home after being away and the degree to which he goes nuts is very dependant on the length of time which I am away. Whenever I spend a couple days over at Riverwolf's house and come back, he goes more nutso than when I've just come back from being at school for the day.
