Adam and Eve, and various takes on that story

As a partial answer to Ceridwen:

Blood had always been an offering to God. So, in this transition period between the old ways and Jesus and his teachings, blood was again used as a the purifier.

like all creation stories, they are all metaphorical. to take them literally would be insane because many cultures have different versions. i believe we all evolved. after all, ninety something percent of us is similair to the chimpanzee. hmm... thats a no brainer.

Blood is interesting as regards the sacrifice of Jesus.

Adam and Eve represented a blood line and it proved to be more toward the animal kingdom. Although they had God power it was misdirected through a nature that had instinct and predatory tendancies.

A fringe scientist in the 1920's was said to have invented a device that could tell him all the attributes of a person just by testing the blood. He was discredited of course but witnesses said he could tell hair, eye colour, physical appearance to the point he could even tell the persons morality and tendancies.

I found this interesting in the sense Jesus was perfect or at least had a nature tested in a human environment and was able to resist being human.
All Jesus attributes would have been in the blood. The blood is also a reflection of mind. The blood would be a fluid through the whole body balancing all the organs and brain, the mind containing the whole.

Adam and Eve represents one blood line of an animal nature with God power that is used for self preservation including ego. And Jesus trandscends the animal nature by denying it any hold within the mind thus being purified in the body and the blood also.

This presented a perfect sacrifice and has forever made available a mind that humans can transcend to, that is beyond human mind.

the only time God uses force is when he intervenes which is seldom. hi didn't want robots or force us to love and obey his precepts or good moral conduct, that's why we were made in his image of free-will. he shared in our humanity like we can share in his divinity. as the prophet simeon foretold, his circumcision was enough to save the world, but Jesus preferred to empty himself out as he did on the cross and calvary. just a mere scratch or mosquito bite would have saved us from ourselves. sin is abnormal, virtue normal. unless u r sinning u are normal. evil is just that and vice versa.
