Rhaponticum Carthimoides

It's a kind of thistle. It was observed that injured deer would eat it and recover. Looks like the flower from 'Horton Hears A Who'. LOL

I have considered working as a trainer. My dad actually went to school for Personal Training, then I was born so he never actually got to finish his schooling. He taught me everything he knows about physical well being, from calisthenics to plyometrics to isometrics.

I also have a couple books by Bruce Lee, that cover his own personal work out regime and life style.

The thing is though, I'm young and most people don't see me as a viable candidate for teaching. Though I have the experience, fourteen years of it I might add, most people aren't looking for my type of style anyways.

They want to work out to work out, not learn how to defend themselves. I personally, wouldn't be as comfortable teaching middle aged ladies and old people, which makes up a large majority of cardio kickboxing participants.

I'm trying though, and like I said before I don't give up so easily, thanks for the support man :D

Oh yes, I don't smoke cigarettes, or at least I'm trying to stop. I have one every now and then when I go down to my mom's house, but smoking isn't allowed in our apartment complex. Dictated by my girlfriend and cousin, who don't smoke.

Gah, I feel so terrible!

But on a lighter note, if I do indeed start fighting I will make a special thread where I will post all my videos and matches, win or lose.

I've always been recorded in competition, ever since I was four, so there will be plenty for everyone to see. I just need to do it, and because I have truly voiced my desire and so many are willing to support me it makes it seem just that much more achievable.

I would put money on the fact that you could find clients to train.

There is something magical about focusing on helping others to improve.

You don't need many. Just one will get you going. Word of mouth is how it works.

Letterbox your area with leaflets. Work out in a park with a sign saying "I can train you".

You can do it. You have to decide to. You know the alternative is simply not acceptable. Go for it. Just do what you know you have to do ... one move leads to another ... make the first move and you will just keep going.

Now get some sleep ! Defying your circadian rhythm is unhealthy. If you're out of sync with the sun, everything goes haywire.

Tomorrow (or when I wake up), I will try and take my first step.

I might have to wait until I get a full day ahead of me. But I need to start with my license, though I despise the DMV.

And you're right, there is simply no turning back now

Good to hear.

To reset your bio-clock, take melatonin at sunset, and/or an hour before bedtime.

Sweet dreams.

Holy crap, I missed all this?

Orais, I know you ain't but maybe a year's difference from me, and I can say that being nearly the same age as you and basically in the same position, that it's mind over matter. Right now, I'm unemployed, living rent free alone in one of the houses my grandfather owns, and I can tell you... I know what it's like to feel trapped and in that hole. I can just say as advice to throw yourself out there and see what work you can find if money is an issue. I personally do not have an actual job, but whenever a family member needs any work (farmwork and yardwork mostly) I go and take it and make some money so that I have dinner on the table.

There are always people who need stuff done, but are lazy and have lots of money. It's a good way to make cash if you don't have a regular job. I wouldn't advise doing anything illegal though as that brings with it risks to your life and freedom.

Join the Army. There's money, training, fight clubs, discipline, and Satanists.

This is very true. :D Joining the military can be a great way to start your adult life. My dad joined the Navy as soon as he turned 18. It got him started in life, away from the farm, and out from under his father's thumb.

You guys are right.

Except the military isn't much of an option for me. I probably could use the discipline, and it would likely do wonders for me. But it would involve leaving those around me for a span of time, and I'm not very comfortable with that.

I'm just so stubborn. And I haven't made any progress on anything, I feel like raging.

I had a dream I was back in high school last night and I was with a bunch of my friends going to ditch class. Except one of my old high school friends became like a bouncer, not letting anyone outside. As soon as I spotted him I turned around and he noticed me, he said "Hey! I saw you! Get back here!". The rest of my friends started laughing and fooling around while I got escorted to the principals office.

I remember saying "What the hell?! I'm not even in flucking high school anymore!" After that I remember being in this classroom that I had go down a narrow tunnel to get too, and there was barred windows and chains on the chairs of the desk (I'd assume for holding you down). I turned around to go out the door but it slammed in my face and became locked.

Then I somehow appeared outside the school, I gave it the bird and started flying over a bunch of cop cars that were speeding into the main entrance.

Maybe I just need my **** kicked, but I'm not sure how possible that is. I've been real edgy lately

**** the police!

EDIT: And since when did they start sensoring AR-SE?! GAH!

Ya, join the Navy, not the army! Navy is l33t. Maybe you could be a Navy Seal. :D

I'd join the marines if anything, but I do enjoy living.

Oh, good point. Then join a branch that doesnt see too much action, or see about getting a non-fighting role.

If you want fighting though, there are probably places to go to find out about getting into one of the sports professionally.
