a state of crisis but a sense of purpose

In the past I have believed in Simulation Theory - on and off

However, I now believe in Simulation Theory again...

But I also believe in Christianity.

I am therefore in a state of spiritual and intellectual crisis

As the two are quite contradictory worldviews...

I need to work it all out and reconcile the two, into some kind of synthesis

I am confident I can do this, but think it will take some time. It is a large undertaking!

When I was at university in 2004 I was sat on my bed in my study-bedroom and suddenly a thought popped into my mind that did not feel like one of my own:

"You are the man who discovered The Matrix"

At the time I dismissed this, as I was quite mad.

But I now think that this is a sign that my purpose is to study Simulation Theory - whilst being a Christian. Or at least a Theist? - I don't know at the moment!

Anyway, I'm in a state of crisis but I have a new sense of purpose!
