I like your poster Red... I collect posters, poltical and rock and religious.
One of my favorite books RE, right at the time it was published, of mine - in addition to The Ramayana and Freedom at Midnight - was The Gulag Archipelago (Russian: Архипелаг ГУЛАГ, Arkhipelag GULAG) by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in 1973. Two years later came Freedom at Midnight (1975) by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre (one of the greatest of all time). I have first editions of both. They were my Xmas presents. I was 17 and 19 years old. The Gulag was source for a paper I wrote for school.
About that time I stood up to testify for a Cuban who escaped communism, he became one of the greatest Hindus of a long time coming and many think he is an Indian because he speaks 6 languages. It is my secret. He is Cuban actually, and I helped get him citizenship.
Once when I was in Calcutta, not sure what year, 1980s, I was in a little room with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) god knows why, but I ended up in there with a friend. Now India, there are God Pictures printed on cheap paper like posters, sometimes Bollywood stars, and such, for sale all over the place.
Hanging on the wall, in addition to Karl Marx, I swear to God, there on the same mill of paper was about an 8.5 x 11 in the same gauche colors of the Gods a poster of Hillary Clinton her head slightly cocked looking to her own right, potrait chest up with a solid off baize background. No smile really, just looking with a barely noticeable smile. Commard Clinton. STG.
