A Gimmick

Once in a interview, someone asked Jimi Hendrix if what he did was a gimmick. Jimi replied that life was a big gimmick, and that wars were a gimmick.
What do you think? Do you think any part of life is a gimmick? Do you think all of life could be considered a big gimmick?

(this question is mostly for fun, but I won't frown on any serious answers).

I think Jimi was kissing the sky at that moment. I can see some philosophical truth to it, but overall I love listening to some Hendrix, but I really don't agree with that statement. Most people do put on an act depending on the company and situation, but there are those who don't.

I usually refer to life as a game rather than a gimmick.
