Too bad I stared at the white circle in the first one for about a minute, and was wondering, "Ok, what am I supposed to see exactly?"

The sun won't last very long if it keeps doing that. Looks like it lost about a quarter of it's volume in that explosion.

Look how big the explosion is compared to the size of the sun. I have no way of calculating the volume of material it lost but it sure looks big to me.
