    Being a Quaker in England? The Quaker movement has its origins in the 1650s in England. There is a friends meeting house a short walk from where I live.

    924 kbps down (~0.92 Mbps, 113 KB/s) ↓ 236 kbps up (~0.24 Mbps, 29 KB/s) ↑ A lot of people in our area have broadband these days, so I am unlikely to get anything close to the full 1M speed except in the middle of the night, Going up to 2M soon, so it will be interesting to see...

    A toss-up between "The Life of Brian" and "The Forbidden Planet". If non-English language films are included, "Bicycle Thief" from Italy and "Ikiru" (Living) from Japan are worthy of consideration.

    Putting together a new computer

    Some modern PSUs seem a bit reluctant to work at first (even if the necessary conditions for start-up are met), but if the problem persists it is most likely to be the memory that is causing the problem. The default BIOS settings do not always suffice, so you have to go into the Setup program...
