    I'm probably wrong, but it's a possibility at least that he didn't keep her just as she was young and attractive, but because he was lonely. If he was shy, never dated or had sex, then he may have been just happy to have any romantic female in his life. You never know.

    I think showing anything above knees can be immodest, I think tights don't justify short skirts, full arms on display is definitely excessive unless it's an occasion, and showing anything below your chest on your torso goes without saying.     Most modest clothes sold these days are horrible. It's very unfair, there is definitely a way to do both but shops don't seem to think that.
