I would say it's fairly simple since there were more local church Bishops who didn't attend the Nicene council meetings than did attend. Many were chased into the wilderness as I believe others already mentioned. I certainly wouldn't expect a catholic to understand much beyond dogma.
The question again...
"How did moral conscience evolve from pre-biotic compounds?"
The trivial pursuit has been fun but come on now. Please quit attempting to say Asparagine and Glutamine were fighting and Tyrosine stole away with conscience and passed it on to a bacterium (natural...
I suppose I could become offended but that wouldn't make any head wind. I am ignorant of Catholic dogma, in this case and within this forum-forum; I took the discussion route and asked. That was lazy on my part, I could have googled them. No harm no foul I hope.
Thanks for the answer on edict/bull.
Also, New revelation" was in no way questioning infallibility. I would never accuse a man of having that Godly attribute. It was more pointed to the entire Catholic Church, in that, if it just occurred to Catholicism that the world was sorely in need of...
My concern isn't what B.O. is or isn't. I'm not even concerned with the date 2012. I know where my eternity will be spent.

Opponent: Huh? :thud:

I don't see this, "I am an atheist mate. We as americans have banded together as a nation to...
Primarily I was wondering about 1Cor.5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
I read the scripture many years ago and never went back to examine it. I had jotted down some of the other scriptures I...
I visited a web site discussing Australia's 2001 Religious Vilification Law.
As much as I prefer my own denomination, a similar law in America, could cause a lot of clergy to go to jail.
It would be a good idea to closely examine the outcome of a law like this. We have protection now within...
Are those (we if it is us) who stray too far of course in danger of losing physical life (being taken out)? Is this analogy of scriptures out of context here? What do you think?
Note: Thanks Dunemeister for seeing the need to further clarify.
