What is your short story or one sentence, Why Do You love God?

The verse you quoted before does not say the same... In other words salvation is a gift of God, if you have faith only (sola fide); works are not needed. This is contrary to the words of Jesus, James and Revelation, as I showed you in message #309

What is your short story or one sentence, Why Do You love God?

I agree with every scripture you have quoted. :sparklingheart: I believe Jesus words and Paul's words are 100% Trustworthy! Jesus died for our sins so we can have salvation, this is something Jesus did! Nothing We do! Paul also says we must obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus --2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

What is your short story or one sentence, Why Do You love God?

This is the sad parody of Christianity because what you quoted in Ephesians 2:8-9, fully contradicts Jesus instructions and teachings as well as other books of the Bible. And it's a shame that all these contradictions do not bother the vast majority of Christians. Matthew 5:20 "For I say to you...

What is your short story or one sentence, Why Do You love God?

Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. New International Version Obey Jesus’ instructions. (Hebrews 5:9) Those who “observe all the things” that Jesus commanded...

Learning about people’s faith & what they believe in, how they think about it & try to practice it

Do you ever feel like maybe you could be doing more, or you would like to be doing more? I do sometimes. Like it says in my signature, I have some ideas about how to stop procrastinating, but I keep putting it off. :D

Learning about people’s faith & what they believe in, how they think about it & try to practice it

I love Jesus. I read His word, the biblical scriptures and seek God to continue transforming my life in Christ to be more like Jesus and help me live out the fruits of the Spirit… love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Galatians 5:22). I attend a...

Split a piece of wood and I am there, Lift a stone and you will find me

There is an Esoteric and Exoteric meaning in All Holy Scripture. Those that Cherish Carnal Meat eating sees the Exoteric meaning. For example, a person that eats only Fish is Much Weaker in the Body compared to a person that eats Fatty Pork in that regard. A person that Refuses to Smoke is Much...

Split a piece of wood and I am there, Lift a stone and you will find me

    a) Romans 14:1-3 is quite clear and doesn't require interpretation: "Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat...

Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

And Jesus's words: MT 10:22 "You will be hated by everyone because of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved."

Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

According to Romans 10:8–13, whoever declares with their mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead will be saved. Not only that, but they are justified by the belief in their heart and the profession of their faith in Jesus, and they will not be put to...

Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

Not remotely the issue here. I DID NOT claim that Biblically there is salvtion by works. Well, apparently the Bible contradicts itself concerning whether salvation is by faith alone or by faith and works.

Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

And if your physically unable to "perform works", then what? Nobody is saved by "works". Ephesians 2:8-9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Yes we have to be born again to walk in Gods Spirit (John 3:3-7) and walking in Gods Spirit leads us to obey Gods Word from the inside out (Matthew 5:17-28). This is what Gods new covenant means by having Gods law now written on our hearts through love (see Jeremiah 31:31-34). Loving God however...

WHERE IS THE SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS GOD'S 4th COMMANDMENT IS ABOLISHED?

Can you please post me the link where you answered my question after saying you answered it? Also if you cannot post me the link where you answered my question above to you why are you pretending that you did? You do know that is not being honest right? Here let me ask you again and give you...

The Question Islam and Christianity Can't Answer

But the studied to find out that it wasn’t flat. The Bible doesn’t say how old the earth is. One has to do with salvation the other has to do with living (It is quite evident) You did bring up the info… I can respond to it. Subjective. I don’t require that people believe as I do. And I...

The Question Islam and Christianity Can't Answer

First of all they don't contradict one another. They would only contradict one another if Scripture said somewhere that man was saved by works alone. It doesn't says that anywhere unless you can show it. I'll wait here

The Question Islam and Christianity Can't Answer

Yes, I suspect that most Christians do. And you believe it by faith. But I have no reason to believe that, or even that that or any other god exists or that one can be saved or unsaved. Faith plays no role in my deciding what is true about reality. A critically thinking empiricist is convinced...

The Question Islam and Christianity Can't Answer

That doesn't say ALONE. "You can see, that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone". Apparently you can't or won't see that. James is telling you that both works and faith are needed. It doesn't say works alone saves you but both do. People insist on ignoring what's being said.

The Question Islam and Christianity Can't Answer

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast,” (Ephesians 2:8-9, NKJV).

The Question Islam and Christianity Can't Answer

There isn't a single passage in Scripture that says faith alone saves anyone. Faith is necessary it's not sufficient.
