Yes Ken. Sorry for the delay as I was on a mini-vacation for a couple of days. So, what's up?

I have a mini-book that I have just written on marriage. (about 32,000 words). The need is the following. I need someone who isn't too close to me to give me an honest assessment. There are many marriage books out there and so the following are the issues that I am facing.

1) Does it really engage enough that someone will actually read it (LOL - I guess that is the biggest reason). 2) Does it flow or is it like a bunny rabbit - jumping from one thought to the next 3) Is it relevant that someone will actually glean from it. (it is a Christian perspective and you are so versitile (I know nothing but you know everythng)

Could I impose on you to give an honest, no holding back, criticism of it? I don't know whether to proceed or revise or whatever.

I know what I am trying to say but don't know if the reader actually knows what I attempted to say :D
Kenny

Won't be offended if that isn't feasible

Are you going to send it to me and how? Yes, I'm more than willing to try and help out, and thanks for the compliment and the honor.

Yes - good question on how! Do you have an email that I you feel comfortable that I can send it to? Do emails on RF have the capacity?

You can use this one, but don't laugh: [email protected] Put "Paper On Marriage" in the subject as I delete all messages whereas I don't recognize the sender.

Say "HI!" to all my kangaroo friends. BTW, my wife & I almost moved there in the early 1970's.

Well, brace yourself. :( It was great, and in all its aspects. Personal accounts, meshing those with scriptures and lessons derived from them, and you even sound intelligent! :) I think it is so well written-- and I mean it. Even if I tried to be picky, I seriously can't find any flaws. [continued]

There's not too much of "this" nor too little of "that"-- iow, it's well balanced. Now, I'm not saying that you are well balanced, so don't let this all go to your head, OK? Have you gotten any reactions from any others? Anyhow, very poignant, so congrats!

You are just too much :-D !!!! Thank you for taking your time to read and comment. I gave it to two other "in house" people who corrected grammar and flow

But those two aren't going to tell their pastor "I dont like it". :). I wanted to give it to someone who knew absolutely NOTHING! :) And who else could I think of? LOL - Seriously, I needed an impartial person. And I greatly thank you!

Actually, now that I think of it, one said that the ending was abrupt... thoughts? Was it concluded well? I know that we can't please everyone but... thoughts?

I would have to look at that part again, but I did save it. I'm in a bit of a hurry this morning as I'm meeting one of my granddaughters for lunch at her university. Please respond to this to remind me to get back with ya. Take care.
