Prayer

Pronouns: he/him/they/them
To anyone who prays how do you pray? For me it depends on the deity and how formal im being. Sometimes I just whisper a prayer. I prefer saying my prayers outloud in a whisper when I'm not doing a formal ritual. I may do this laying down, sitting, walking, any position really. Sometimes i pray in ritual. I may turn on an electric candle prior at my altar and talk. If im outside i may light an actual candle. I may chant I may shout i might whisper depending on the ritual or who im praying to. I may do a more formal ritual usually involving poetry or spellwork in said ritual. If it's a deity associated with the dead or the underworld in any way I may get on one knee knock on the ground and still on one knee I then put my hands in front of me one palm facing up the other facing palm down. Then I pray with my head either down or facing straight ahead never really up. So how do y'all pray

The Sum of Awe

Brought to you by the moment that spacetime began.
I’ve recently started performing what I call rituals once in a while, where I use props to call on a deity name. I will do minor chores to show effort in setting up the room and altar, to make sure the area is clean and I believe efforts make it more stronger. I have once went out into the cold for ten minutes searching for the best stick to use as a wand.

but I also believe just praying through simple words or even in my head works just as well
