is God important in your religion?

Question: Is the question of there being or not being a God important in your religion?

Basically: Is God important in your religion, assuming he features in it?

I ask, because he's not important in mine

Indeed my religion works with or without there being a God

Up until very recently I believed in it whilst believing in God

I now believe in it whilst not believing in God

But who knows, at some point in the future I may revert to Theism or Agnosticism.....

But the thing is, it makes no difference to me

The issue of there being or not being a God is not important in my tradition

When I've changed my opinions nothing much has changed for me, religiously

God is a means for us to be happy and at peace and we cannot benefit him.

I did not create the jinn and the humans except that they may worship Me. | Adh-Dhaariyat : 56
I desire no provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. | Adh-Dhaariyat : 57
Indeed it is Allah who is the Provider, Possessor of power and The strong. | Adh-Dhaariyat : 58

If you connect to the lanterns from God's light and those who are his treasured signs and manifest his titles, then you understand the journey to God and that God's sustenance is higher and better.

وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَاصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا ۖ لَا نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا ۖ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ ۗ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ | And bid your family to prayer and be steadfast in maintaining it. We do not ask any provision of you: it is We who provide for you, and to Godwariness belongs the ultimate outcome [in the Hereafter]. | Taa-Haa : 132

And in the sky is your provision and what you are promised. | Adh-Dhaariyat : 22

فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُونَ | By the Lord of the sky and the earth, it is indeed the truth, just as [it is a fact that] you speak. | Adh-Dhaariyat : 23

Were We to open for them a gate of the sky, so that they could go on ascending through it, | Al-Hijr : 14

لَقَالُوا إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَارُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَسْحُورُونَ | they would surely say, ‘Indeed a spell has been cast on our eyes; indeed, we are a bewitched lot.’ | Al-Hijr : 15

Certainly We have appointed constellations in the sky and adorned it for the onlookers, | Al-Hijr : 16

وَحَفِظْنَاهَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ | and We have guarded it from every outcast Satan, | Al-Hijr : 17

وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِلشَّيَاطِينِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ | We have certainly adorned sky of this world with lamps, and made them [the means of pelting] missiles against the devils, and We have prepared for them a punishment of the Blaze. | Al-Mulk : 5

Hugely yes. He is my Father and set all we know of in existence into motion.

He is the source of understanding right from wrong.

That said I think can live good lives and have a lot of positive things even if they don’t believe in him.

Then again if there is good why not seek for the best?

for me god infinite space so yeah gods important. Infinite space makes it possible for the existence of all other things. Nothing greater than infinite space. It's deserving of the name 'GOD'.

Of absolutely fundamental importance for me. God is the Creator of my soul/spirit and I believe it is to Him I will eventually return (to find the eternal peace that I seek).

Remembering God in the here and now brings me peace. Without God in my life I feel adrift and without purpose.

God is irrelevant. It has no bearing whatsoever nor plays any role simply because it's nowhere else in the universe aside from being a product of one's creative imagination.

...

Maybe as much as a government is important for a state. Without God my religion would not exist, because the rules and teachings are from the God (at least by what the religion says). But, I think believing in God's existence is not crucial, being righteous is, because eternal life is promised for righteous.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
Mat. 25:46

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

I don't think we would know that and what righteousness means, without God, which is why He can be seen as very important.

I believe a person could get by somewhat with the Bible and good memories but it won't be the best.
