This site allows anyone in possession of a computer and the internet to donate food, money and resources to charities linked to world hunger, breast cancer, illiteracy, the rainforest and animal shelters completely and absolutely free. There is no registration, fee, names, numbers or anything required; and it takes three seconds to do.

How many of you will make this your homepage and how many of you will forget about it tomorrow (or never even go)? Can you really call yourself a religionist if your three seconds is worth more to you than these causes? How much do you really care about others? I invite comments and discussion. See if anything about the daily results strikes you as odd.

My sociology class a long time ago discussed these things for a good month. It's very revealing. Humanity does not make a good case for itself when these things are uncovered.

I completely agree that we must do something and not talk about it, but how many of these are legitimate organizations?

*shrugs* OK, if it isn't legitimate, then I've just spent a few seconds doing absolutely no good. Unlike the rest of my average day, of course. I mean, I'm not losing anything here. You are giving no money here, keep in mind. They make it from the advertisers on the site.

Well, alright, that's well and good, I suppose, but people do, in fact, need to eat, and rainforests are pretty good if you're fond of oxygen, and treatments for cancer are really great when you or someone you care about has it, and d'you really think it's a bad thing to donate money or time or whatever to good causes? Can't you do that as well as proselytize?

As true as this is (and I've spent years of my life in other countries doing only that) we are Christ's hands, and hunger and pain is very real. We cannot ignore it. Read Matthew 25:35-40 and James 1:27.
