I agree, religion is necessary.
We might have a different definition for religion. I prefer saying "faith and relationship is necessary". Maybe we are just seeing the same diamond but at a different angle.
It depends. Hell is Sheol, the grave, the pit. According to Jeremiah 31:30 "every one will die for their own iniquity". Now if you didn't commit any "iniquity", then you wouldn't have to die. As everyone will die, then apparently they committed iniquity, and their judgment is on them. The judgment was set by God, but the iniquity was done by man. As for the false prophet Paul's counter claims, that "we shall not all die", well the man and his audience is dead or dying.

If we believe in G-d and do appropriate good deeds , we will be sent to heaven. It is mentioned in Quran.

But first one would have to know what those appropriate good deeds are. Unfortunately, not everyone was let in on the clues and evidently went down instead of up when they died. Something that still holds true today.

Below is my definition of religion. It is the Revelation from God. I am quite sure it is different from how Christians define religion.
“And now concerning thy question regarding the nature of religion. Know thou that they who are truly wise have likened the world unto the human temple. As the body of man needeth a garment to clothe it, so the body of mankind must needs be adorned with the mantle of justice and wisdom. Its robe is the Revelation vouchsafed unto it by God. Whenever this robe hath fulfilled its purpose, the Almighty will assuredly renew it. For every age requireth a fresh measure of the light of God. Every Divine Revelation hath been sent down in a manner that befitted the circumstances of the age in which it hath appeared.”

I remember (if I have it correctly) that when a Jewish person asks what is your religion, he isn't asking what denomination of faith but rather what is it that you do because of what you believe (or something like that)
