Evidence for Jesus' Resurrection

He asked me to prove Jesus was not burried in the tomb, this is what wiki says about the tombs people were burried in.
Rock tombs were the province of the wealthy; the common people were buried in the ground.
Jesus would have never been buried in a tomb, he was probably left hanging on the cross, according to the other messiahs foot found on the cross, if he wasn't at the most he would've been buried in the ground. Wiki is good proof.

"evidence"? You had exactly ZERO. You had heresay. You had speculation. You had pure pull-out-of-one's-backside GUESS.

But. Not one single document or artifact in support of "Jesus" or "Yeshua" character from the time he allegedly "lived".

Not so much as a broken pot with his name on it.

Interesting. We have the words of Plato. We have the diaries of Alexander the Great.

We have no words from the Desert "Messiah" who was supposedly "Larger Than Life".

Fascinating. With all your blovating, you could not even come up with a discarded christmas card...

It's good, isn't it? Your feeble excuse of a god not only created Evil? It appears it cannot mange to stop a single stubbed toe...

... or worse-- your god cannot manage to convince a single rational person it's even real...

Excuses, excuses. Did you know that Revelations was not even supposed to be in the bible?

I bet you didn't know that.... !

Your sophomoric theology belongs in the bottom of a bird cage.

I have evidence here from Wiki. This is what is said of rock cut tombs you claim Jesus was burried in.

Hundreds of rock-cut tombs were constructed in Israel in ancient times. They were cut into the rock, sometimes with elaborate facades and multiple burial chambers. Some are free-standing, but most are caves. Each tomb typically belonged to a single, wealthy family. Bodies were laid out on stone benches. After a generation, the bones were moved to a bone chamber or, later, into ossuaries and the benches used for new burials. Rock tombs were the province of the wealthy; the common people were buried in the ground.

Notice the words wealthy family, it was only for the wealthy.
The earliest Canaanite cut-rock cave tombs date from 3100–2900 BCE, but the custom had lapsed a millennium before the earliest Israelite tombs, which date to the 9th century BCE in Jerusalem. There are a great many Jewish tombs dating to the Second Temple period, and others in the late Roman or early Byzantine period

Where's your evidence that Jesus wasn't buried in a tomb? You have none. Zero. Zip. Nada. Only far out theories you can't link to Jesus.

Actually she mentioned some good evidence. People that were crucified were not taken down. That was part of the lesson to the people at large. When they were taken down they were thrown into a common grave.

This is a diversion on your part because the burden of proof actually lies upon you. Where is your evidence, aside from a book of myths, that Jesus was put in a vault for the rich?

Always beats the drivel you produce. Even the devil believes (James 2:19), but you haven't risen to that level yet.

You have completely failed to convince anyone
that you have strong evidence, but are expecting
others to accept it while you insult them for
theirs. Or seeing it your perfect infallible way.
Nobody is favourably impressed,
particularly not with the display of Christan character.

This thread only says how stupid and clueless humans are. History mostly cannot be proved.

Your grandpa of grandpa was buried somewhere, prove it before you come back to this thread.

People in general are stupid acting, or goodies

Picking what to believe ahead of time

The thing of it is Spartan sees us all as enemies of Christianity. My best friend in my 12 Step program is Catholic, I say good for her. But shes not trying to scientifically prove the resurrection of Jesus.I get along with some Christians.

But many of them base their religion on faith and faith is all that matters. I'm not Christian but if someone feels led to be Christian by their higher power hey, I won't stand in the way of that.

But when anyone tries to scientifically prove God exists, they will lose. There is no scientific proof of God and especially not the resurrection of Christ.

But as I said i am not the enemy here, I have many Christian friends but they base their spiritual religious beliefs on faith not science.

There are no eye witness accounts of the existence of Jesus outside of the Bible. Therefore, we are only left with the Bible as the only source of evidence. To use the Bible to prove the Bible is circular reasoning.

I agree, What about the account from one or two sentences they say they have from Josephus ? There's nothing been said about the resurrection grant it but I thought maybe I'm wrong but I thought some historians refer to it as proof to the existence of Jesus but not resurrection.

Josephus never met Jesus. Plus Josephus was only about 7 years old when Jesus died.

Using the bible to prove something that outside sources
can demonstrate are fiction is even worse.

We do tty to be the enemy of idiocy, idiocy being a public enemy.

The crux of Christianity is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without the resurrection, Christianity collapses. Here is a scholarly, well-researched series that includes evidence for, and objections, etc., against. Skeptics / atheists, etc., have all demanded evidence for the resurrection. Well here it is, in spades. Biblical and extra-biblical historical sources included. This is a 10 Part series - all links below.

There is no evidence, our job as Christians is to believe the fantasy on faith. And no, skeptics/atheists are not foolish enough to demand evidence of a resurrection because they know better than to ask a Christian for something that stupid, that is just another fallacy of yours.

This has always been an absurd argument.

First of all, if the Bible is true then you're kicking the truth to the curb. Better would be to investigate its claims to see if they have merit.

Second, and most important, the Gospels and New Testament were not "the Bible" in the 1st and 2nd centuries. They were instead independent manuscripts written by mostly different authors, at different time, and in different places. As such they are independent confirmations.

I totally disagree. There is evidence and logic behind the resurrection. And even though most atheists are seemingly hard-wired to ignore the truth of Jesus Christ and the resurrection, some do see the light and become believers.
