Conversion Therapy in the UK

The Problem is that according to the bible, acting out on homosexuality is a sin. So i cant really accept that. Sex should be obviously for procreating.
The problem is yours, as not everyone believes the Bible, and of those who do they don't all share your opinion. You don't have to be gay yourself, but do butt or and mind your own business.

What scientific evidence do you mean?

Were not animals, or at least we should not act like animals

We obviously are animals, from a rather definite descent via DNA and other obvious features, and being so, we still retain much of our origins from the past - hence why we often seem to behave 'like animals'. It might be better if we didn't - giving more thought to any behaviour - but unfortunately some are not so controlled by their thinking than by their feelings - just something we have to accept as the spectrum of human nature, abilities, and human variability. Blame our genes for a lot of this - but also how we develop (our environment).

I think religions have little input in this area.

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
Homosexuality is of satanic origin, it is not from god, and thats why i think it is a bad idea to ban conversion therapies. Because homosexuality is not, and never acceptable in society.
In most cases, conversion therapy not only does not work, it does irreparable harm to those it is imposed upon.

By the way, this wasn't specifically about homosexuality, just about human behaviour in general, and I don't see homosexuality as being any more abnormal than much other behaviour.

I know i hate myself for still being gay, i tried praying, but it just doesnt work, why?
Do you think God would want you to hate yourself? Seems uncharacteristic if you believe God is both loving and merciful. Hate is antithetical to love.

Because it doesn't work. And you shouldn't hate yourself for being gay. I've been down a similar path, and the self loathing is a destructive toxin. You are the way you are. You might as well hate yourself for having two arms.

What do you mean with irreparable harm?

Everyone has a fallen tarnished sin nature and needs grace and forgiveness. Perhaps focusing on one type of sin is a mistake. In any case there is grace and mercy offered to all. All don't take it though.

1Cor 6:11 does say And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Are you saying you're not fallen and have not sinned?
