If only we could see the results of our prayers

We all do at some point state things as though it's a fact. We probably at some point too, have had to remind persons that it's an opinion.
Actually I became aware of my mistake after.
My apologies. Thank you.
Very true. Probably I am close to make the same mistake myself, now I pointed it out to you:D

I am a Christian. So I go by what I read in the Bible, rather than form an opinion about God, from my own ideas.
That makes sense to me (Christan..Bible). Although when I read the Bible, ideas pop up ... kind of interaction. Sometimes I wonder "is there any idea from myself?". I mean when I was a baby, I did not know so much. Lots of years in school, learning from teachers ... Is there any idea "my own"?

So I think you hit the jackpot saying "not forming an opinion about God from your own ideas".
Just realizing this now, thanks to your reply. RF is really a good way to learn a lot about myself, and improve myself.

@stvdv I hope you intend to reprove Marcion as well. I will be watching to see how many RF posters you remind of Rule #8. I could go back and collect all the posts where you didn't seem to notice, but I would be breaking another rule. Just saying. :)
Today when I was reminding you, I already got the thought ... "I think RF Rule 8 seems to be violated continuously"

Thanks for this (I just searched Marcion, and the first was already a hit:))
But your reply reminds me that my Master tells "if you point 1 finger at the other, remember 3 fingers point at you"
Maybe it's time for me to stop reminding others:) ... leave it to the "Staff members"

At least, I learned a good lesson on RF, RF Rule #8 is a fantastic Rule to make me humble and more friendly towards others

I think RF is the best ... probably mainly because of RF Rule #8

Hmmm. No comment. :)

Glad to see you are the kind that is willing to do a self-reevaluation. That is so lacking in so many people.
Keep it up.

Another thing is that in order for your prayers to be answered they need to be one with God's will. And a third, we should always know that God knows best. If we ask for something and don't get it - besides for the things mentioned before and the things I forgot to mention - it is because it wouldn't have been good for us.

Some people like to say it means it wasn't meant to be. But that sentence neglects to mention that what God wants for us is what is good for us.
If your prayer is already one with His will, then what is the use of asking Him anything?
His cosmic plan is connected in so many ways, if He would try to change one tiny part of that plan, the whole thing would collapse. So He will never change that plan because of some requests of humans.
Suppose you pray intensely that It needs to rain on your dried out land.
If He would listen to your prayers and change the course of the winds and clouds, then other areas would suffer drought instead.

He is serving so many trillions of creatures in this vast universe that He cannot change His plans that are closely connected with the laws of nature.

If people could see the results of their prayers, and their prayers were helping out the world, there would be a lot more people praying.

Assuming God(s) exists, why don't you think he(they) shows us the results of our prayers?

Perhaps it would be good first to learn to pray properly. If God would do directly everything people asks it probably would not be good.

Sometimes the portraits of our lives are more beautiful with darker colors.

I think some do see.
