What gives you the idea that a deity is real?

This is the evidence given , none other exist at the beginning. Atheists in generally have perception organs ' dead' and it explains the questions they ask.

Most atheists were Christian, so I don't think it's a perception thing. This is all subjective, so people experience things differently.

Experiences with said deity and/or the urge to worship something or someone of great importance to you. For example, I'm sure no one questions the existence of the Sun and the Sun is probably the most worshipped deity in human religion.

Theists aren't lacking evidence or proof. We have it for ourselves in the form of our experiences. Just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean it's not real for someone else.

I think the sun might be one of my deities. Everyone can see the sun. How do you experience your deities?

my deities don't have to be real for anybody else. i read about them, i study them, i experience them, i worship them, they're real for me. personally, i think that's the whole idea of religion - you can't prove it to anybody else. that's why you believe it.

Which ones are your deities? How do you experience them?

I've had numerous experiences that have felt "spiritual" to me, especially when deep in meditation or otherwise removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life. But even though I've experienced these, I admit this is quite possibly the result of entirely normal chemical/electrical/hormonal reactions in my body. I have a natural tendency towards believing that there is an energy that runs throughout the universe, but if there is it's a perfectly natural part of the universe and we very well may understand it scientifically eventually. Likewise, if there are gods or souls or anything else of the like, they are also naturally parts of the universe (imo). That being said, I have no real proof for this. My stance is that of a spiritual agnostic. I have a spirituality that I would define as fairly important to my life and my identity. That being said, I can't be certain of it. No one can.

Without objective evidence, wouldn't one start out without belief? It takes time to recognize and experience things, right? What do you experience?
Observe ant or other animals with less abilities whether they are aware of you and how?

If wishing to get some assosiation with devas and Gods one needs to stick firm to pure live, conduct, virtue and generosity. Not attracted by sublime how ever able to trace?

Can you give specific examples? Thanks!
Getting answers to my requests to explain scriptures, not only Christian, i had many cases of synchronicities, when I get to some places like California Missions, Old Churches , e.t.c I have long electric jolts and shaking, I have visions and dreams that are long term explaining and predicting things, e.g., i had a dream 20 years ago telling me about advances in genetic research things I did not know and learned years later from the news. I had a dream about current shootings and chem trails in 1999. Explanations of why and what about current events suddenly 'materialize' in my head without me even thinking just hear in news.

It is fun too, in the beginning certain things were upsetting but now it is not because I realized that I can not anything about it, I noticed that empathy grew, I more forgiving and judge less, more willing to help, I used to make a lot of money seeing manipulations on stock market but now I quit, understood it is a theft.

I worship many of the original Celtic (with a specific focus on, but not limited to Welsh) deities. Cerridwen, Brighid, Cerunnos, Rhiannon, Lleu Llaw Gyffes, and the like. Many of my religious experiences have happened while studying the Mabinogion or Gododdin, or while invoking various aspects represented by that deity. A specific example is when I asked Cerridwen for Her grace to help me transform and let go of my negative past self, a few years ago. Nobody else does or would believe my subjective experience, but that's okay - I could feel something different within me as I would write, and mindfully change toxic behaviours. To me, it felt like Her, inspiring me to become a new person, bit by bit.

I can't prove it to anybody else, but I don't need to. It's real enough for me.

Sounds great! I need to ask her help with my negative self image. I have been wanting to read the Mabinogion.
