Phew haven't logged in for a long time. Moved to a new house, settled in now. Still have anxiety issues and trying my best to manage it.
I did get bad news recently which has cranked it up 1000%, my mom's health is not so great, she has bone loss and on top of that, her apartment is completely gone. There was a fire and she lost everything. She's poor so material stuff will take time to replace, but she was very upset about loosing all of her pictures. She's not tech-savvy and panics with computers and such, so it was the only copies she had.
She does have a place to stay while she looks for a new place and she's looking into her options, if she can get some form of financial aid. I just feel really bad about being so far away and not being able to help out. I thought of some fundraiser type of thing, but I don't want her to lose her benefits, she's on disability but they are a callous bunch. They might cut her money and I don't want to make her situation worse. Next time I visit I will treat her to some shopping instead, safer that way. I will also send pictures that I have.
At least on the bright side, she wasn't there when it happened, thank goodness! I just can't believe her bad luck though.
