What? Really? o_O

As for socializing without religion, a gym, a club, the park, a bar and a multiple other places that religion doesn't come into play.

For non-religious/secular support groups.

Just handful I found.

A bar, the gym really? Doesn't usually work out as a support group unless with friends in which case your friends are your support group.

The other groups, have you made use of any of them? I found pretty much the same resources and unless your an addict, not much help. Some of the sites don't seem to have much activity in a few years.

Not dissing your ideas, just not the kind of support I was thinking of.

However I'm finding the folks on the RF can be pretty supportive at times.

Avoid sects, groups, faiths, and churches. The holy spirit fills the world with love. Find it inside you, and pray however you may wish.

Oh, I was under the impression of socializing without religion coming into play. My bad! :p

As for some of the links. I found Faith Free facebook page to be very welcoming and supportive of any issues. I've also had success with the Apostasy Project, can't speak for the others mentioned.

I've been trying to ignore this again, but it needs to be addressed. I tried looking into going back to Islam, but I'm troubled. There are no sects that will accept being gay or transgender and that's a big problem for me. I don't believe that God created LGBT people just for us to judge or hate them.
SFG, please don't be offended by this but, why do you say God created LGBT people?

There is this group called Muslims for Progressive Values and I can get behind their stances, but they are a minority unlike more liberal Christians and Jews who actually have big accepting communities. This is making me feel alone and hurt again, and I'm just not sure if this is the right place for me after all. The connection to tradition is strong, but what good is that when the place you want to be doesn't even want you?

No hateful or anti-LGBT comments please. I'm not really in the mood to read comments like those right now.
You're looking for something which suits your personal preferences?

This is a tough one to answer. It's not that I'm looking for something that suits my personal preferences, it's just that I truly believe that God loves and, yes, even created LGBT people. It's hard to for me to explain beliefs, but that's truly what I believe in the depths of my heart. And so I'm trying to find a place that reflects what I also believe. This is my biggest struggle, I think.
