Yay, pictures! *starts to scan the net for her favorites*

And Chris, you know my thing's for Kurt, not Scott! (Isn't his ruby quartz? *mulls this over*)

I love to work with hematite, I'm sure that was the first stone I ever worked with. I also like tiger's eye and smokey quartz,

Hematite's a wonderful stone! It's very grounding, and I often find that I need that. Tiger's eye's another favorite of mine. I can't hold a piece without breaking into a feral grin, hehee!

Here's an example of my favorite type of fluroite to work with, sometimes called blue- green fluorite. (I've a feeling that if I were able to get this necklace, I'd never take it off!)

My favorite property in this is the way it promotes understanding, the ability to see something from another's viewpoint and the wisdom of knowing how several different things can be true at once. Sometimes when I'm working with it somewhere public (I've got a sphere of it), someone will come up and ask me what its magical properties are. (Well, they phrase it 'what's that supposed to do,' but I prefer to think that that's what they're asking!) I love holding it up to them in the sun and asking what color they think it is. Some answer green and some answer blue. (This sphere is less purple than the above one.) I like asking 'but isn't it ____?" (the color they didn't say) and then having them understand that it's both at once and is all the more beautiful for their understanding that. Of course, there's always the invariable person who will answer "Blue and green". *shakes head* They already know how it works!

Carnelian and hematite both affect the stomach chakra and are polar to each other in this respect...crystallized meat being polar to a greyish magnetic stone. This has a lot to do with your stomach magnetically moving as you breathe, meat crystallizing and then sucking back into greyish nonexistance

Oooooo Too many to mention, My 1st choice is Quartz, I love clear, Rose and smokey.
I have around my neck a beautiful piece of Amethyst, a present from Jeff and also my birth stone.
I love Geodes, and also once had a huge clear quartz Cathedral, the power from it was amazing, but the kids hit it off the side and broke it.

One cool thing I've learned is that some stones can be 'healed', especially if they've only just broken moments ago. When faced with a broken crystal, one can put the pieces together and then scan their finger along the seam. (I use Reiki, but if you concentrate energy, it should work just as well.)

It's interesting that so many of the people who love amethyst are people that I consider regal, courageous and compassionate!

I use crystals to enhance my reiki. I have a clear crystal point message wand, and a free form smoky quartz message wand.

I have a collection of stones that represent and help me clear each of the chakras. Emerald is my birthstone, but I have always felt a stronger connection to amethyst.

I have at least one stone or crystal in each of my potted plants, and scattered around the house on shelves. I have tried to place them so that sunlight hits them at least once throughout the day. They create fabulous rainbows around the house. I also have a very large quartz crystal ball that is held up by pewter unicorns.

Strange, it's my birthstone, and coincidentally, my favourite stone. To me, it represents the Spiritual, the third eye, and general wisdom.

I love stones in general. One of my favorite "stones" is amber. My boyfriend gave me an amber chip necklace. It's beautiful. I also like turquois, citrine, malachite, quartz, amethyst, and jade. I have what I call my goody bag, which has a sizeable collection of stones within it.

I love stones. Have since I was a kid. I have a collection and my son does too. He loves his stones too. I been reading this thread a few times and I love some many kinds. I have a rose quartz that I love but its more because of the person who gave it to me and the spirit she gave it to me in. It is my favorite. I like rubies also but that's because it symbolizes love for me. Majikthise gave me a ruby engagement ring. It's so beautiful. :D :hearts:

My favorite stones are amethyst (my birthstone), rose quartz, and citrine. I find that amethyst and rose quartz are very soothing and calming. These stones help me clear my mind and focus. I have a necklace with a piece if citrine attached to it and I've always felt like it protects me. It also "cheers" me up a bit, because of it's bright color.
